Pokemon Meets Mary Chocolate Candy Debuts After Christmas

Mary Chocolate Company announced the release of a “Pokemon meets Mary Chocolate” line of chocolates and candy inspired by a variety of beloved and popular characters. There are eight different chocolate assortment boxes and items, and they are expected to release in Japan on December 26, 2024. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

The chocolates are being released after Christmas Day this year, in preparation of Valentine’s Day 2025. The lineup of Pokemon chocolates includes four cans of assorted chocolates themed after grass, fire, water, and electric type Pokemon. Each tin can costs 1,404 yen (or about $9.11), offering six chocolates each and four different Pokemon creatures featured on them on a pixel art sprite style.

The Legendary and Mythical Pokemon chocolate candy set features Mew, Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-oh, and Celebi, as well as a Master Ball. It costs 1,944 yen (~$12.61), and it includes 8 different chocolates. The Eevee Friends chocolate set costs 2,484 yen (~$16.12), and it features the popular Pokemon alongside every Eevelution. The set includes 15 chocolates, with five different varieties.

The Crunchy Chocolate Poach features the original generation one ghost types Ghastly, Haunter, and Gengar, with each Pokemon being a different variety of chocolate. It costs 2,200 yen (~$14.27) and includes nine chocolates. Finally, the Pikachu Can includes five different chocolates inspired by the iconic mascot, and it costs 1,296 yen (~$8.41).

The “Pokemon meets Mary Chocolate” items will release on December 26, 2024 in Japan. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are the latest games in the series, and they are readily available on the Nintendo Switch.
