World of Warcraft Classic is still ongoing as always, but there are some new Realms to join. There are brand new servers for players to experience as part of the 20th Anniversary celebration. When it comes to this new World of Warcraft Classic refresh, you are able to pick a new Realm and start from scratch alongside everyone else. But which server should you pick?
World of Warcraft Classic Refresh Server Types, Explained
There are three different types of Realms available in the vanilla experience refresh: PvE, PvP, and Hardcore. The new servers that are being added are mega servers. What this effectively means is there is one server for each type of experience per region. In North America, for instance, this just means three new Realms to join.
PvE is purely for enjoying the vanilla content at your own pace. You don’t have to worry about the other faction coming up and slaughtering you right out of the gate or anything like that. PvP, on the other hand, means you can fight against the Horde if you’re Alliance pretty much everywhere. Then, Hardcore means you have a single life to live. If your character dies for any reason, even against the most random spider, your run is over.
Best Servers to Join for World of Warcraft Classic 20th Anniversary
When it comes to choosing the best server to join in the World of Warcraft Classic refresh, it starts with personal preference. Do you like the idea of stressing over dying and losing your character for good? Or do you enjoy the thrill of random Horde versus Alliance fights breaking out anywhere and anytime? If so, play one of the Hardcore or PvP worlds. If not, then the normal PvE style is best for you.
The other part to consider are streamers. If you want to play with a huge streamer like Xaryu or someone else, they generally tend to stick to Hardcore servers. They may do PvP but usually Hardcore like Doomhowl. If you want to avoid the potential traffic and chaos of these servers, again, stick to the normal ones. If you’re a newer player, I highly suggest the NA server of Dreamscythe.
World of Warcraft Classic is available right now for PC. There are new 20th Anniversary Realms to join starting on November 21, 2024.
