The new NieR: Automata collaboration for Stellar Blade features plenty of new content, including the appearance of Emil’s Shop. He is offering to sell you some new outfits but you’ll need to find a special currency to purchase them.
Where to Find Emil’s Shop in Stellar Blade
If you’ve played NieR: Automata, you likely already have an idea on how you can find Emil’s Shop in Stellar Blade too. In the original game, he would drive around the City Ruins, his theme song blaring out on loudspeakers. In Stellar Blade, he does the same in the Great Desert and the Wasteland, appearing at random and driving around.
I personally only noticed him once around the Junkyard part of the Wasteland, but in the Great Desert he appeared frequently everywhere. The Desert is therefore your best bet if you want to find him. And don’t worry, you’ll know when he’s nearby as you’ll likely hear his theme song before you see him.
In order to speak to Emil, you need to attack him. I found it difficult to get close to him to use the sword, so you’re better off shooting a slug or two at him with the drone instead. Once he’s stopped, go and speak to him and he’ll offer you costumes in exchange for Stellar Tears. These are all costumes based on NieR: Automata and once you’ve purchased them all, he will leave for good.
Where to Find Stellar Tears for Emil in Stellar Blade
In order to buy the NieR: Automata costumes from Emil’s Shop, you need to give him Stellar Tears. These are a new collectible found in Stellar Blade for this DLC, and he offers you some clues on where to find them all. The Stellar Tears appear in transparent cans, similar to the base game’s standard collectible cans.
There are 15 Stellar Tears in total, hidden across the Wasteland and Great Desert. The clues aren’t too difficult to decipher from the pictures he gives you, but if you’re having trouble, here is where you can find them all.
Here are all the Stellar Tear locations in the Wasteland:
- AT8154E – on a high ledge at the Plant fishing hole.
- AC6258B – at the end of the shipwreck on the higher level of the Canyon.
- AB6148M – inside the cave at the top of the slope north of the Solar Tower.
- AJ4875L – on the ledge north of the Bus Stop camp.
- AO3521P – climb a stack of crates inside Digger’s shop, just inside and to the right of the entrance when you come in.
- AW4215O – among the solar panels at the Solar Tower.
- AT4756L – a set of handholds east of the shipwreck lead to a parkour route up to the top of the canyon. Follow the bridges to find the Stellar Tear.
- AC8653E – in front of the DG billboard north of the Central Scrap Plains camp.
Here are all the Stellar Tear locations in the Great Desert:
- AN1632R – Sitting in front of the angel statue in the northwest portion of the map.
- AF8742F – halfway between the exit to Xion and the Abandoned Overpass camp, surrounded by statues.
- AB3459D – on the west side of the Oasis.
- AJ9235H – in a building south of the Tetrapod.
- AO2489J – on the crates by the seesaw puzzle that you must complete to reach the second Abaddon fight.
- AN5409P – inside the Opera House.
- AM6131L – on a shipping container next to the Solar Tower.
Bring these Stellar Tears to Emil and he’ll happily trade them for your new costumes.
