Capcom will release a series of original goods featuring Resident Evil characters looking like the cats from Shigoto Neko (Working Cat). These items are available in the online lottery, CapKuji Online. [Thanks, PR Times!]
Characters who are part of this collaboration are Chris, Leon, Jill, Ada, and Wesker. Most of the items are stuff that you can bring with you outside. In total, there are 33 different prizes that are part of the Resident Evil and Working Cat crossover, with prizes ranging from S to E.
Here are the different prizes:
- S Prize: Hoodie
- A Prize: Cap
- B Prize: Towel
- C Prize: Badge-like sticker
- D Prize: Dog tag-looking keychain
- E Prize: Can badge
It costs 880 JPY ($5.65) per attempt, and the lottery will run until December 16, 2024. As a note, it is possible to do a 10-pull on CapKuji. The 10-pull costs 7920 JPY ($50.90) and is about 880 JPY cheaper than if you bought 10 pulls separately. The items will ship out some time in mid-to-late March 2025.
Working Cat is based on artwork by illustrator Kumamine, using the popularity of previous memes like Denwa Neko (Phone Cat) and Genba Neko (Construction Site Cat). These cats usually strike bizarre poses and work well as Internet memes. Genba Neko, for example, was a cat wearing a construction helmet and performing a safety check. But people would put it with pictures of blatant workplace safety protocol violations.
The Resident Evil and Working Cat crossover will run until December 16, 2024.
