Primarily, the improvements involve its visual. On the PS5 Pro, the Baldur’s Gate 3 Quality mode means the game will display at native 4K resolution while maintaining 30 FPS during gameplay. If someone chooses Performance mode, it will run at 60 FPS while upscaling from 1440p to 2160p using the PSSR technology.

Notably, a fix for the multiplayer mode will also be deployed in this patch. Split screen gameplay in Baldur’s Gate 3 maintaining 30 FPS on Quality mode and 60 FPS on Performance mode.

The other update involves the PC version. A fix will be deployed for mods in-game. It remedies an issue that meant you couldn’t download or subscribe to mods when joining another player’s multiplayer session with mods enabled.

This is one of many Baldur’s Gate 3 updates with substantial content additions for Larian Studios’ latest adventure. In September, 2024, a massive update for the game released. It added new ending cinematics, mature content toggles, and an in-game mod manager.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available now on the Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC, and there are PS5 Pro features.
