Kotobukiya Brings Bishoujo Freddy Krueger Figure Back

Many figure companies rerelease older figures, and that’s exactly what Kotobukiya is doing with its Bishoujo Freddy Krueger figure that features the horror icon reimagined as a woman. The second edition of it is expected to launch in Japan in June 2025, where it will cost 16,500円. The company highlighted Sideshow as the official distributor in other regions, where it will cost $120 and arrive between June and September 2025.

As is obvious from the design, the Bishoujo Freddy Krueger is based on Shunya Yamashita art that depicted the villain as a woman, rather than a man. The outfit is based on the character’s appearance in Freddy vs. Jason. The 1/7 scale figure will stand at over eight inches tall (220mm). The rerelease is almost identical to the original, though Kotobukiya noted that the base of it and box will look different this time around.

Here are some official photos from Kotobukiya showing how she’ll look.

This figure originally launched in September 2014. That was 11 years after the movie it was based on debuted. When it did first appear, it cost 7,500円 (~$50).

Kotobukiya confirmed another horror figure rerelease a few months ago. Alongside the debut of the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice movie, the Bishoujo figure of that character returned. Totally new ones are also on the way, with Vampirella being one of the next ones in development.

The Bishoujo Freddy Krueger figure will return in June 2025.
