Anycolor shared the latest yearly report from the company’s Special Task Force to Combat Threatening Behavior and Defamation. The report covers those cases tackled between November 2023 and October 2024. The number of cases handled by Anycolor’s task force for the 2023-2024 period reached approximately 124, compared to the 80 cases approximate tackled during the previous year (November 2022 and October 2023.)
Anycolor took measures to cases regarding the following behaviors:
- Defamation and other acts of slander towards talent affiliated with Anycolor
- Violations of privacy rights
- Copyright infringement (such as acts using visual assets from one of Anycolor’s Nijisanji VTubers with indecent intent)
- Death threats and other acts of intimidation
- Stalking
- Trolling
- Other infringement acts that affect the rights of Anycolor talent or that interfere with company business
Anycolor defines cases of trolling as posting comments during a talent’s streaming activities on platforms such as YouTube with the intention of obstructing these activities, as well as repeatedly posting on X (Twitter) and other social media sites using a hashtag related to Nijisanji VTubers or replying to talent with the intention of obstructing.
The activities of the task force during the aforementioned period include reporting posts and comments on X (formerly Twitter,) YouTube, and other social media and streaming sites infringing against VTuber’s privacy rights as well as requesting the deletion of such messages. Other cases also included people impersonating Anycolor talent online. Furthermore, the company pursued civil and criminal liabilities against users that Anycolor found to be malicious.
Regarding cases of death threats, the company immediately filed reports with local authorities and took measures to prevent actual harm, including the arrangement of security details in the areas where relevant VTubers and talent reside in.
