How to Unlock Alucard and The Alucart Sworb in Vampire Survivors

Alucard is one of the most iconic Castlevania characters, and unlocking him in the Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania DLC isn’t too difficult. Here’s how to unlock everyone’s favorite pretty boy dhampir and his “Alucart Sworb.”

How do I defeat the Doppelganger and unlock Alucard in Vampire Survivors?

In Vampire Survivors, Alucard is unlocked after beating the Doppelganger boss in the Ode to Castlevania stage while playing as Trevor. To begin, enter the stage as Trevor and go to the area where you fought Giant Medusa Head.

From the Giant Medusa Head spawn point, head north and follow the red carpet until you reach a room filled with grey tiles. Walk West and make your way upward when possible, eventually reaching the entryway to a brown corridor on the right. Use the map I marked above if you get lost.

The Doppleganger boss is waiting for you in the center of the corridor, taking on your appearance and launching projectiles in your direction. Jump (yes, you can really jump in this area!) to avoid his attacks, and aim your whip at him during openings.

With the Dopplerganger defeated, Alucard is now available to purchase for gold in the Character Selection menu after the run is over. You can also safely quit the stage at any time.

How do I unlock the Alucart Sworb?

The Alucart Sworb is Alucard’s signature weapon in Vampire Survivors. Alucart Sworb is added to the regular weapon pool after being used to deal 10,000 damage. Evolving the Sworb (which is done simply by leveling it up) unlocks Christopher, who is required to unlock the iconic Simon Belmont.
