In 1995, Jaleco published a fire-fighting game on the SNES, titled The Ignition Factor, which quite literally had you putting out fires, dealing with accidents and saving lives from a top-down view.
It was quite the detailed fire-fighting experience, too, letting you choose your equipment at the start of every mission. Depending on the kind of fire — regular, chemical or electrical — you would require different kinds of fire extinguishers to put them out. You could also carry a rope to cross gaps, an axe, and carbon dioxide bombs (amongst other tools) for dealing with a various threats.
Thanks to the Australian Classification Rating board, we know now that The Ignition Factor is headed to Virtual Console in English. Also coming to the service is another SNES game by Jaleco — Brawl Brothers, a side-scrolling beat ’em up.
