Traders in Valheim are some of the most elusive characters in the game; in a world as big as this, it can be challenging to locate the one you’re looking for. On top of the long travel times required to reach new destinations, each NPC only has one or two spawn locations in each world, making their whereabouts even more mysterious. In this guide, we’ll explain how to find the newest NPC Trader introduced in Valheim – the Bog Witch.
Valheim: The Bog Witch Location and Details
As you’d probably expect, the Bog Witch in Valheim can only be found in Swamp biomes. The specific Swamp in which the Bog Witch resides will vary depending on your world seed. However, because Swamps are always located along coastlines, you should have an easier time finding her as you sail around your world.
Below, you’ll see an example of where the Bog Witch could be located and her relative map icon. If you see an icon of a cauldron appear on your minimap, you’ll know you’re near the Bog Witch.

Once you’ve located the correct Swamp, search around for the Bog Witch’s hut. Inside, you’ll find the Trader alongside her cauldron and Kvastur, her magic broom. It doesn’t get any more “Bog Witch” than that.
Interacting with the Bog Witch will allow you to purchase goods from her, including the Serving Tray, which is necessary to make Feasts in Valheim.
