MSI announced that it will sell the Monster Hunter-themed gamepad on its own in Japan in November 2024. The Force GC30 Monster Hunter Edition controller will be available with a standalone price tag of 5,980 yen (~$39.35) in the country. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
The gamepad is also available worldwide, but it is generally only available in a bundle with the Monster Hunter-branded GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8G GPU. That costs $499.99. While people in Japan can buy the gamepad without the graphics card, MSI has yet to confirm whether the offer will also be available elsewhere or not.
Even though this Monster Hunter controller has an Xbox layout, it will only be compatible with Windows PCs and Android mobile devices. The set will come with an alternate hexagonal plate cover for the D-pad section. The gamepad will also support both wired and wireless modes with a battery that can last up to eight hours.
This gamepad is part of the gaming PC parts collection MSI is producing to help celebrate the Monster Hunter series’ 20th anniversary. Besides the controller and graphics card, the company is also making specially branded PC cases, motherboards, AIO CPU coolers, and monitors, as well as standalone laptop PCs.
MSI will start selling the Force GC30 Monster Hunter Edition gamepad separately in Japan on November 8, 2024.
