Crunchyroll announced it will soon be the new streaming home of the 3DCG anime series Girls Band Cry. This comes after Toei Animation confirmed that it would appear in English outside of Japan. People will be able to start watching the show on November 6, 2024.
Initially, Girls Band Cry was available on other platforms. When it did debut in English, it showed up on August 13, 2024. So immediately, it is available to purchase on places like the Amazon either on a by-episode or full season basis. (A single episode costs $2.99, while all 13 are $9.99 together.)
Crunchyroll’s confirmation about Girls Band Cry’s debut included information about who can watch. In general, North America, Europe, and Australia are set. It also noted people in the Indian subcontinent, Latin America, South Africa, and Southeast Asia can stream it. There’s a new trailer highlighting the 3DCG anime direction, teasing some of the music, and showing the drama the young women deal with as they hopefully head to Budokan.
This is the start of new things for Girls Band Cry. There are also movies in the work. That will be a retelling of the original series, split into two movies. A game is also in development.
The Girls Band Cry anime will be streaming on Crunchyroll starting on November 6, 2024.
