How to get the Coldflame Tempest Mount from the WoW Anniversary Event

The Coldflame Tempest is a new mount that arrived with the update 11.0.5, inspired by the service awards given to long-time Blizzard Employees. It’s not difficult to get but there are a fair few steps involved, so here’s how to obtain the Coldflame Tempest Mount from the WoW Anniversary Event.

How to Earn the “A Cool Twenty Years” Achievement during the WoW Anniversary Event

To earn your Coldflame Tempest, you’ll need to complete an achievement called “A Cool Twenty Years” during the Anniversary Event. Theis is a meta-achievement that requires achieving 8 sub-achievements, each from taking part in various activities during the event. Some involve the activities that start periodically around the celebration grounds, such as Story Time, Mount Mania, and Fashion Frenzy. Others will require you to interact with certain toys or fight particular world bosses around Azeroth.

Here are each of the achievements and how to get them:

• I Have That One! – Match 1 mount during the Mount Mania event. Wait for the Mount Mania event to begin and the summon the mount shown on the stage, if you have it. If not, simply wait until one you do have shows up.
• Peanut Gallery – React to Lorewalker Cho’s stories 50 times. This one may take you a while, since you can only react so many times each time the event pops up. Whenever the event does appear, you will be able to use your extra action button to react at certain points. Do this 50 times to get the achievement.
• The Gatecrashers – Defeat each of the 3 new Anniversary World Bosses: The Sha of Anger, Archavon the Stone Watcher, and Doomwalker. These periodically appear aound Tanaris and are marked by large skull symbols on the map, so keep an eye out for them while doing other activities in the celebration grounds.
• Fashion Critic – Cast a vote during Fashion Frenzy. At the end of the Fashion Frenzy event, you will pick up several ribbons to award to your favorite oufit. Simply target another play and press the extra action button to get this achievement.
• Balloonist – Ride a celebration balloon. You can find a balloon stand just in front of where you arrive in the Celebration Grounds, assuming you took the portal to the Caverns of Time from Orgrimmar or Stormwind. Click on one of the passing balloons to ride it and wait until the achievement pops.
• An Original – Slay at least one of the original Classic World Bosses available during the Anniversary. This includes Lord Kazzak, Azuregos, and any of the four Dragons of Nightmare, each of which is marked on the world map with a skull when active. Fly to any one of them and slay it with a group. If you are a Horde player this will be extra easy as Azuregos can be found in Azshara, just north of Orgrimmar.
• Codex Editor: Ahn’Qiraj – Complete the Codex of Chromie scenario. You can find Chromie in the celebration grounds to queue for this scenario, which you can read more about here.
• Pet Mischief – Use a Pet Disguiser to transform into your pet. Find Petra the Pet Greeter just north-west of the central pavilion and click the chest next to her to receive a Pet Mirror. Summon any pet and use the item to earn the achievement.

Once you’ve finished all the WoW Anniversary achievements in the list, you’ll be credited with your very own Coldflame Tempest mount!
