Like in the original game, Neko Atsume 2 has two types of currency: silver fish and gold fish. Gold fish is the premium kind of currency that exists in the game, and this guide will teach you how to get it. Because buying it with real money isn’t the only option.
How do I get gold fish in Neko Atsume 2?
To start with, what is the main difference between silver fish and gold fish? Aside from its name not sounding like a common household pest, you can typically use gold fish to exchange for fancier items and food in the game. So it’s a pretty vital currency if you want to see rarer cats or collect them more efficiently. Unlike in the first game, you can use silver fish to expand your yard, so you can save your gold fish for other items if you wish.Â
Here are the three ways to get gold fish in Neko Atsume 2:
- Exchange silver fish for gold fish in the shop at a rate of 250 silver fish for 10 gold fish.
- Receive it as a gift from cats.
- Purchase it with real world money. The minimum purchase is 70 gold fish for $0.99.
As the game is still in Version 1.0.0, there may be more ways to earn this currency later. For example, you had a chance of obtaining gold fish whenever you input the daily password in the first game. The sequel doesn’t have that function. If Hit Point adds it in a future update though, we might have another avenue for obtaining gold fish. Until then though, it’s a lot of exchanging and a lot of hoping that the cats are feeling magnanimous that play session.
Neko Atsume 2 is readily available on mobile devices.
