Hololive VTuber La+ Darkness announced that she would take a brief hiatus from streaming activities for health reasons. She should be back on October 20, 2024.
According to her announcement, she was streaming at full power for the past few months but her doctor diagnosed her with vocal cord nodules. These nodules aren’t curable with medicine alone. Since La+ wants to be able to perform at her best for the anniversary event next month, she will take her doctor’s advice and rest up for a bit. She also mentions that up until today, she often had to go to the hospital and voice rehabilitation for her vocal cord nodules.
This has been an ongoing issue for La+. Back in January 2024, she had to take about a two-week break because of her vocal cord nodules. Vocal nodules develop if you use your voice too much and they can affect how your voice sounds. The best way to get rid of them is to rest your voice, though it may be difficult for La+ to do so, as a streamer naturally has to project their voice for several hours multiple times a day.
La+ Darkness will go on a brief hiatus to rest her voice and she should be back on October 20, 2024.
