In a new video celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Steins;Gate series, MAGES revealed that the visual novel sci-fi game series will continue in the future and teased a new Steins;Gate project.
The anniversary video is a bit over 3 minutes long and it showcases all of the video game titles in the Steins;Gate series, starting with the original visual novel released in 2009, and continuing with the romantic comedy spin-off Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace, the short story collection Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram, the 2015 sequel Steins;Gate 0, and the 2018 fully animated remake of the original, Steins;Gate Elite.
At the end of the video, an English message appears thanking players and fans for their patronage and support over the last 15 years, ending with the sentence “Steins;Gate will continue.” After the message, the Japanese voice of Okabe Rintarou’s voice can be heard saying “El Psy Congroo” shortly before a mobile ringtone plays over a black screen. The video then ends after the teaser.
