Can You Max Out All Metaphor: ReFantazio Bonds in 1 Playthrough

In Persona games, it can someones be difficult to max out all Social Link relationships in a single run, which might make people wonder if it is possible to complete all Metaphor: ReFantazio Follower Bonds in one playthrough. The best answer is, it depends on certain factors.

If you are playing on the easiest difficulty, I imagine you should be able to max out all of the bonds without too much trouble. The Gallica and More ones tend to happen naturally as you progress through the game. This is because the Gallica events are tied to the story. The More ones are connected to Archetype advancements and leveling, which you can conduct with EXP-granting items.

However, if you are playing on the normal or higher difficulty levels, then it might not be possible for someone max out all of the Metaphor: ReFantazio Follower Bonds. Part of this is because it may take you more time to go through story-related dungeons on a higher difficulty level. Since some of the Bonds require Royal Virtue stats to be at certain levels, such as Maria and Heismay requiring Tolerance to reach a certain point, it means making sure you have enough time to raise that stat and then spend time with the character when they are available.

Not to mention, some Follower Bonds can’t be advanced until you hit certain points in the Metaphor: ReFantazio story. This isn’t like Persona, where getting enough relationship points and advancing stats may make it possible to advance the Social Link regardless of the date. For example, you won’t be able to advance the Brigitta, Bardon, Eupha, Junah, or Basilio ones until you hit certain points in the plot.

So if you want to do it all in a single run, you might want to consider one of the easier difficulty levels like Storyteller or Easy to accomplish everything. If you choose an option like Normal, it might be possible, but more difficult. On Normal or Hard, I’m not quite sure someone could complete every Bond in one run. It depends on how much time you’ve spent grinding and how well you manage your time. But even if you find can’t max out all the Bonds as you play, you can absolutely do so for some early-game characters like Strohl, Hulkenberg, Mario, and Heismay.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. There is also a demo available.
