Where Are New Metaphor: ReFantazio Summoner Summons

The Summoner Archetype that Eupha brings to the party in Metaphor: ReFantazio is unusual in that you don’t get new summons by leveling up. Additional ones are tied to More’s Special Experiments. But even if you make one, you might not immediately see it in your list of skills.

How do I find new summons for the Summoner and Eupha in Metaphor: ReFantazio?

The Summoner Archetype starts out with four summon skills. These are the standard Summon Eagle Lion and Summon Noctiluca ones, and you have the Summon Lizardman and Summon Undead King Synthesis abilities that require certain other Archetypes to be in the party alongside the Summoner. In addition, Eupha as the Mustari priestess can also perform the Summon Dragon God Synthesis after the events at the Dragon Temple.

As you defeat certain major enemies or find treasures on quests or make purchases at shops, you get Talismans that More can combine in Special Summon Experiments to make more. For example, the Sandy Coast Virga Island Krozelli the Hunter shop sells one each of every Talisman type for 100,000 reeve each. I purchased the Talisman of the Avatar and Talisman of the Avian to forge the Flaming Mane Vessel with More. This unlocked the Summon Lava Beast skill, which would deal AOE Almighty damage to all enemies for 28 MP.

Immediately after unlocking Eupha’s bond, the following Special Summon Experiments are available to forge if you visit More.

  • Cockscomb Vessel: Talisman of the Avian and Talisman of the Raptor.
  • Flaming Mane Vessel: Talisman of the Avatar and Talisman of the Avian.
  • Goblin Loincloth Vessel: Talisman of the Foul and Talisman of the Fairy.
  • Gravelord Vessel: Talisman of the Raptor and Talisman of the Divine.
  • Minotaur Vessel: Talisman of the Wargod and Talisman of the Avatar.
  • Obsidian Bone Vessel: Talisman of the Wargod and Talisman of the Femme.
  • Stone Wing Vessel: Talisman of the Avatar and Talisman of the Night.

If you don’t immediately see your new Summon in a Eupha or Summoner Skill list in a battle after crafting a vessel with More in Metaphor: ReFantazio, don’t panic. It likely just means it is a Synthesis one and requires the right roles in the party. So even if you make a Minotaur Vessel and unlock Summon Guptauros King as a skill, it won’t show up as an option in a fight unless you choose Synthesis when a Summoner and someone who is either a Berserker, Brawler, or Warrior is also around.

Note that for someone else to become a Summoner, they need Seeker rank 15, Faker rank 10, and 11,000 MAG. To become a Devil Summoner, you need Summoner rank 20, Magic Seeker rank 10, Eupha at a rank 6 Bond, and 18,000 MAG.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. There is also a demo available.
