Where Is the Metaphor: ReFantazio Montario Opera House Key

Once you get to Altabury Heights in Metaphor: ReFantazio and prepare for the presentation of the collected relics on September 9th in-game, you’ll find a locked Montario Opera House door with a missing Rear Entrance Key is keeping you from your mission. This isn’t a situation where just talking to people or looking on the ground will help you. You need to put some real effort into finding the missing item.

How do I get the Montario Opera House Rear Entrance Key in Metaphor: ReFantazio? 

This isn’t a case in which you find an item on the ground inside the initial hallways of the opera house. No, it’s one of those tasks where you find another object, then trade it for the one you need. There are three on the ground and highlighted on the map. 

After heading to the marked door and hearing the employee’s lament about losing the key, there will be three items highlighted on your map down a hallway. The two that matter most at the moment are the Leather String you can eventually trade for a weapon after a bit of a conversation chain and a Golden Tooth. (There is also a Silver Necklace, but I didn’t pursue that lost item operation.)

Here is where each of the three lost items you can find in Metaphor: ReFantazio at the Montario Opera House before you find the Rear Entrance Key. 

If you don’t want to waste time, take that Golden Tooth to the Middle-Aged Noble I highlighted on the map below. If you talk to him while holding the Golden Tooth, he’ll bring up how “hideous” he feels he looks without it. He’ll then give you the Rear Entrance Key you need to continue this Metaphor: ReFantazio story mission at the Montario Opera House.

If you are okay with spending a bit more time walking around, go speak to the Troubled Attendant sitting near the entrance. This person’s shoelace broke. You’ll automatically give away the Leather String and get the Altabury Cake in return. Take that cake and head to the very back of the opera house. 

A Ravenous Peeress is back there searching for food. When you talk to her, she’ll take the Altabury Cake. In return, she gives you an Unopened Love Letter she found. 

Take that Unopened Love Letter and go to the Troubled Nobleman in the hallway near the locked door. When you talk to him, he’ll recognize the letter and tell you his story. You’ll get a Herald’s Banner accessory in return.

With that all done, go ahead and head backstage and continue on your mission.
