Everything in the World of Warcraft 20th Anniversary 11.0.5 Update

World of Warcraft is turning 20 years old this year. This is also happening just after the release of The War Within expansion, so it is a great time to be a WoW player. To celebrate this historic occasion, Blizzard Entertainment has revealed everything that will be in the World of Warcraft: The War Within 20th Anniversary Event 11.0.5 update.

Subscribers don’t have to wait too much longer at all to enjoy the 20th Anniversary celebration. The new 11.0.5 content patch will drop on October 22, 2024. This is following the regular period of maintenance for that Tuesday around the world. At this point, players will be able to enjoy all of the new 20th Anniversary Event content until January 7, 2025.

This release for the new patch is actually just before the actual 20th Anniversary Event date. The WoW 20th Anniversary Event will be celebrated on November 23, 2024, but players will have almost an entire month beforehand to enjoy the new content.

All New Content in the WoW 20th Anniversary Event 11.0.5 Update

Here is everything players can expect in the new World of Warcraft: The War Within 20th Anniversary Event with patch 11.0.5, from world bosses to classic dungeons and more. It all starts with the new classic raid. Blackrock Depths is coming back from the dead for fans to check out again in the form of a 10-15 player 8-boss raid. In addition to that, the following classic dungeons will be available in the group finder for Timewalking:

• Deadmines
• Dire Maul
• Stratholme

There are a few new world bosses sprinkled throughout for players to find. There are also raid bosses making a return for the anniversary, including Sha of Anger and Archavon the Stonewatcher. There are legendary rewards, new mounts, pets, modern versions of the Tier 2 armor sets, and classic-themed transmog sets. These rewards will use the new Bronze Celebration Tokens for the 20th Anniversary Event.

Finally, there will be major changes and improvements to the overall MMO and expansion. This includes an expansion for the Dracthyr race that will allow it to be usable for six more combat classes, like Rogue, Mage, and Priest. All of this content will become available before the actual 20th Anniversary Event when 11.0.5 drops on October 22, 2024.
