Where Are the Metaphor: ReFantazio Polar Stones?

When you are on Virga Island and about to head to the Dragon Temple in Metaphor: ReFantazio, it is wise to talk to the Hoarse Fisher Crone outside the inn to take the “A Guiding Gift” Polar Stones quest. It involves finding three that were lost in the dungeon, and you’ll happen upon all three while heading in to help Eupha. May as well save some time and take it on right away.

Where are the 3 Polar Stones in the Metaphor: ReFantazio Dragon Temple?

First, actually take the quest from the woman when you leave the inn. You’ll see the indicator over her head and mark on the map after you get the Potion of Blight, so might as well add that to your to-do list right away. The initial reward offered is some Passionate Wraps and 22,500 reeve, though you will get extra, unrevealed items when you finally turn it in for your trouble.

The “hint” when you take this quest is that all three of the stones are near the entrance. In truth, one can be picked up right when you walk inside! It’s immediately to the right in the eastern “point” of the entryway. When you go to pick it up, it will be labeled with a “???,” rather than “item?” or “weapon?” like other glittering objects like it.

So here’s where you’ll find the first Polar Stone:

The second and third Polar Stones in Metaphor: ReFantazio appear in the maze room you enter after the entryway. The first is immediately to your left when you walk in, near one of the western staircases on the first level. Again, when you approach the glittering item, you’ll see the “???” letting you know that’s the quest object you need.

The last of the three Polar Stones in Metaphor: ReFantazio is at the very bottom of the maze, right before you’d enter the room where Eupha waits. Since you probably won’t be headed back into this space after meeting her, don’t descend down that final staircase until you grab the Polar Stone! It’s near a cluster of jars near the middle staircase on the western side. Since you’ll be coming down this way from the eastern side, it is entirely possible you will miss this stone unless you purposely make the detour here to grab it before making your final descent.

Once you return to the village after dealing with the Dragon Temple and its boss, head back to the Hoarse Fisher Crone. You’ll learn the truth behind what’s going on and, in addition to the promised reward, get two other bonus items.
