What Is the Crag Manjula Weakness in Metaphor: ReFantazio

Before you can start taking part in Port Brilehaven arena fights, you need to take on the Crag Manjula in the sidequest “Defeat the Coliseum Monster.” It can be a bit daunting if you don’t have someone on hand who can deal Strike-type damage.

What is the Crag Manjula weakness in “Defeat the Coliseum Monster” in Metaphor: ReFantazio?

Once you’ve been in Brilehaven for a few days in Metaphor: ReFantazio, character conversations will reveal you can take part in fights in the arena for glory. By that I mean item rewards and Courage boosts. This can only happen on days when it isn’t raining or storming, and it’s worth the trouble!

But before you can go through the rankings or gauntlet, you first need to prove yourself by going through the “Defeat the Coliseum Monster” match to prove you can handle it. I did so during the evening, but it should be available during the day or night when you’re in town on a day when there are no storms. Go to the arena from Arenafront Wharf and head to the desk to check in and take the quest. Your full party will be sent into a fight against Crag Manjula.

The key here is to deal Strike damage. That’s the Crag Manjula’s only weakness in Metaphor: ReFantazio. A Brawler or Pugilist will do this as their basic type of attack or when using many of their skills. I also recommend using most types of magic, as it is strong against other types of physical attacks like Pierce damage. However, do not use any Fire spells against it, as it is completely immune to them.

Once you win, you’ll be allowed to properly compete in the arena and will get 25,000 reeve for your trouble.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. There is also a demo available.
