Trove Imitec Weaknesses in Metaphor: ReFantazio

The second kind of “mimic” enemy you’ll face in Metaphor: ReFantazio is the Trove Imitec, and its weaknesses should be pretty familiar! If you managed to defeat a Pyrite Imitec, you can take this monster down too.

What are the Trove Imitec weaknesses in Metaphor: ReFantazio?

The first time you face a Trove Imitec, it is going to be as the “boss” of a dungeon you’ll visit to get a ring for and Grius’ dagger back from one of your future allies in Martira. That fight involves finding a very suspicious and sealed treasure chest in the back of a tomb. When you interact with it, which you need to do to get a key for the door to the key item, the monster attacks.

The Trove Imitec is basically a stronger Pyrite Imitec in Metaphor: ReFantazio, and they share the same strategy and weaknesses. The only thing that will do any major damage is a holy light spell. That means you need at least one person in your party with Hama on hand. It still uses Sleepy Air, which can cause multiple party members to fall asleep at once. It still has attacks that can hit the whole group and can deal critical hits. It might steal your money.

As long as you do have someone who knows Hama or one of the upgraded forms of it, which you can get from the Healer and Cleric line, you’ll be okay. You can get Hero’s Leaf of Light to grant Archetype experience as a common reward and Graced Water as a rare one. Also, if you encountered one after opening a chest, you get the item from that chest when you successfully win the fight.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. There is also a demo available.
