Pyrite Imitec Weaknesses in Metaphor: ReFantazio

There are mimic enemies in Metaphor: ReFantazio that have very specific weaknesses, and the first you’ll encounter is the Pyrite Imitec. It starts showing up after you’re in the Martira region. Here’s how to swiftly take one down.

How do I target the Pyrite Imitec weaknesses in Metaphor: ReFantazio?

So the Pyrite Imitec is dangerous because, at least in early encounters and most dungeons, you can’t get an advantage attack on them. They’ll always be in the form of a “chest” and can catch you off guard. It’s also tricky, as they’ll use Sleepy Air that might put your whole party to sleep, then use attacks that will hit everyone or have a good chance of dealing critical hits. Not to mention when you first start seeing them, they have 1,800 HP.

The Pyrite Imitec is also a Metaphor: ReFantazio enemy that doesn’t have multiple weaknesses. It has one, which is light magic. This means if you didn’t grab an Igniter with that type of spell or at one point raise a Healer or Cleric archetype, you could be very out of luck.

They are definitely worth the risk of fighting them, though! Their common drop is the Hero’s Leaf of Light, which gives you EXP for an Archetype. You also might get Blessed Water from fighting them. If you encountered one in a chest, then after the battle you’ll also get the piece of equipment or item that was in that box.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. There is also a demo available.
