Street Fighter Duel TMNT Event Returns With Shredder

Crunchyroll Games teased the TMNT crossover event would return to Street Fighter Duel at the end of September 2024, and now it confirmed it is back with Shredder as a new character. The leader of the Foot Clan is now available as a possible ally on a limited time banner.

Shredder is a Legendary type of character in Street Fighter Duel, and the villain is also a Tech type unit. He functions in an Assassin role, much like Akuma. He also uses Ninjutsu, just like the other TMNT characters Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. He’s also an SSS-rank unit only available in the gacha during the event.

The moveset seems to be designed to ensure Shredder hits hard. His Mandate of Lightning Super is a buff that increases the damage for his Illusion Dash and Illusion Slash. Getting higher levels on it increases the damage and reduces the cooldown. Both of those combo attacks deal AOE damage to foes both with and without the Super buff. His Lightning Speed passive increases his dodge and damage, and increasing the level ups those buffs and adds pressure when using certain attacks. Likewise, his Vengeful Heart passive also increases speed and lets him use Mandate of Lightning.

Here’s the teaser trailer showing off Shredder’s art and gameplay.

Street Fighter: Duel is available for mobile devices, and the TMNT event that brings back the turtles and adds Shredder is live now.
