How to Take Part in the New Moonstone Island Festivals

The latest update for Moonstone Island brought three new festivals to the game, each of which has its own unique theme. Each season now has its own festival, and each of them has their own rewards for taking part.

When is the Spirit Spring Festival in Moonstone Island?

The Spirit Spring Festival takes place on Spring 21 at the Hot Spring. This can be found on the eastern side of Moonstone Island, north of Tobin’s shack by the beach. The festival starts at 20:00.

Before you attend the festival, make sure you craft an item using Moonstones. Most items from the Moonstone Enchanter will do, as long as there is a Moonstone or Moonstone-based material in the ingredients. I personally used a Beacon since I had one in my inventory already, and that worked fine.

After completing the festival, you can collect some Talismans, a new statue decorative item and a Special Egg. Place this Special Egg into a Spirit Nest and you’ll hatch a new Spirit, Shadeling.

When is the Lunar Festival?

The Lunar Festival takes place on Summer 21 at the beach at 20:00. This is the southeastern part of Moonstone Island, where you can find Tobin’s shack and the lighthouse. More specifically, the festival takes place on the pier.

You do not need to bring anything to this festival. The game even makes this clear with the reminders during the day, which emphasize that you do not need to prep anything in advance. Instead, the festival is a minigame. You’ll watch the meteor shower with whoever you choose, and occasionally, some of the meteors will be surrounded by an aura. When this happens, press your interact button to obtain a Moonstone.

These Moonstones will be available in the Community Chest the next morning. There will also be a Moon statue for decoration. In addition, the first time you do this festival, Zed will send you a letter stating that he was inspired to create a Recycler, which he attaches to the letter.

When is the Cooking Festival

The Cooking Festival in Moonstone Island takes place at 20:00 on Fall 21 in the town square. This is the southeastern corner of the town, where there are benches near people’s homes.

In order to participate in this festival, you need to bring a food item you have cooked. Once you have the Cookbook and the ability to craft a Stove, you’ll be able to cook. What you make will be judged at the festival, so try and aim for a high-level recipe with an unknown ingredient. It’s best to complete the cooking quest beforehand, so you’ll have access to more recipes.

Once at the festival, speak to Ossono in the bottom left corner and she will ask what you would like to present to the food critic. The critic will then judge your work and award a winner.

Regardless of how well you do, the first time you complete this festival you will receive a blueprint for a Juicer and a Token of Affection, along with other rewards. These can be found in the Community Chest.
