ConcernedApe has announced the release date for Stardew Valley 1.6 on consoles and mobile devices. Players on those platforms will finally be able to download it on November 4, 2024.
Version 1.6 of Stardew Valley appeared on Windows PCs in March 2024. However, those playing Stardew Valley on devices like their phones, the Switch, or the PS4 were unable to partake in the new updates. In July 2024, ConcernedApe gave an update, stating that he’s been personally working on the mobile version every day. He gave yet another progress report in August 2024, which included some more information on Haunted Chocolatier. Namely that he hasn’t worked on it in a while because he was devoting so much time to Stardew Valley Version 1.6.
Players on platforms like the Switch will be able to use their old saves even in the new version of the game. Some added activities include festivals. There will also be new cosmetics, dialogue options for NPCs, systems, and farm types. On top of that, there were quality-of-life updates to the game and balance changes.
Stardew Valley is readily available on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. Version 1.6 for platforms other than PC will come out on November 4, 2024 as a free update.
