Glass is an essential ingredient in Lego Fortnite. It’s needed to make the all-important Rune Forge, several vehicles, and other items. There’s multiple ways to get glass in Lego Fortnite, and some are easier than others. It’s not the most abundant resource available, requiring a few steps to make it and a little luck to find it. The following are all the ways you can get Glass in Lego Fortnite.
How to Find Glass in Lego Fortnite
The most straightforward way to get glass in Lego Fortnite is to craft it, but this isn’t feasible if you’re just starting out and want to rush the Rune Forge to unlock rune upgrades. There’s an easier method to getting glass early-on, though it does need a bit of luck and some patience. Humanoid enemies (scoundrels like the brawler or rogue) that wander the Grasslands biome have a chance of dropping pieces of glass. Look for them along the roads, near campfires, and squatting in dilapidated buildings. They’re common during the day, and in a few minutes you should have enough glass to get you started on a few projects.
How to Craft Glass in Lego Fortnite
To craft glass, you’ll first need to collect sand. Sand can be found on any Shore or in Dry Valley. You can collect it by using a shovel on the ground in these areas. With sand in hand, the next step is to create a Metal Smelter. This is a long, drawn out process, requiring you to obtain Brightcore, Obsidian Slabs, and Blast Cores. You can find all of these items in Dry Valley caves by defeating enemies and mining ore deposits. Once you’ve made your metal smelter, it’s time to convert your sand into glass! Converting sand to glass requires two units of sand and one brightcore, so stock up in the caves.
Once you have your glass, you’ll have access to more vehicles. Check out How to Make a Car in Lego Fortnite to learn how to build them. If you’re looking for something more advanced, learn How to Build an Airship in Lego Fortnite.
