Anime studio, Ufotable, have bagged another high-profile game to which they’ll be lending their services in the FMV department — Anime News Network report that they’re working on the recently announced Tales of Xillia.
Ufotable have made quite the name for themselves recently. They worked on the anime footage for God Eater Burst and have also been signed on to work on the Black Rock Shooter RPG by Imageepoch.
This isn’t the first time Ufotable have been involved with the Tales of franchise either. In 2007, they worked on a four-part OVA series based on Tales of Symphonia.
Why this sudden interest in contracting work to Ufotable? A few weeks ago, one of our readers and I speculated over Twitter that it might have something to do with their work on Type-Moon’s popular Kara no Kyoukai, which will be seeing an English-subtitled Blu-Ray boxset in February.
Kara no Kyoukai has become so popular, in fact, that the final chapter of the series will be played in Japanese theatres at 9PM each day from this weekend until December 24th.
