Ultraman Perfumes Depict Their Hero Journeys

Fairytail has started selling perfume that draw inspiration from various Ultraman characters. You can purchase them via online stores, as well as the physical Fairy Tail store in Shibuya 109. [Thanks, PR Times!]

There are four different types of Ultraman perfumes to get. Each one costs 4950 JPY ($34.70) and come as an eau de parfum. The bottle depicts the the emblem of the Ultraman in question, and the box is red with the look of the Ultraman on the side.

Here is a description of each perfume’s fragrance:

• Ultraman Jack: a perfume with lots of fresh and exciting notes to show Jack’s myriad of fighting moves that becomes milder to depict his internal struggles
  Top notes: lemon, mandarin, pink pepper
  Heart notes: lavender, neroli, cardamom
  Base notes: patchouli, sandalwood, amber
• Ultraman Mebius: a perfume that starts out fresh and clean that becomes more musky as time passes in order to depict Ultraman Mebius’s growth from a rookie to a powerful and trusted member of the Crew Guys
  Top notes: narcissus, lily of the valley, palmwood
  Heart notes: cabbage rose, freesia, gardenia
  Base notes: cassis, musk, oak moss
• Ultraman Taro: a perfume that uses fresh scents to depict Taro’s youth before taking on a muskier scent to show how he matures over the course of his series
  Top notes: pear, coriander
  Heart notes: rose, pink lily, linen
  Base notes: sandalwood, musk, amber
• Ultraman Zoffy: a perfume that has bright and fruity top notes to represent Zoffy’s power, but with sweeter and calmer heart and base notes to show his gentler older brother-like side
  Top notes: bergamot, blackcurrant, apple
  Heart notes: birch, patchouli, jasmine
  Base notes: musk, oak moss, ambergris, vanilla

You can purchase the Ultraman perfumes from Tsuburaya and Fairytail. As a note, because it’s perfume, it might be difficult to import or export them unless you physically go to Japan and buy it. For Ultraman fans who want to buy merchandise but aren’t interested in perfume, the Ultraman TCG will come out on October 25, 2024.
