SAO: Fractured Daydream Skills Revealed for Kirito and Asuna

Bandai Namco has started providing detailed explanations of the character skills in Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, starting with Kirito, Asuna, Leafa, and Sinon. Prospective players of the game can learn what to expect from each character’s move list in the upcoming co-op action game.

Kirito Skills in SAO: Fractured Daydream

  • Class: Fighter
  • Extra Skill: Awakening – Triggerable when the gauge is maxed out and will give the following effects:
    • Gradually recovers HP
    • Reduces cooldown time of Advance Skills
    • Triggers Just Guard on the beginning of Advance Skills
  • Advance Skills:
    • Horizontal Square – Quick continuous attacks, followed with a ranged shockwave attack.
    • Vorpal Strike – Aims on an enemy and launches a quick thrust towards them. Holding the button will charge up power for more damage.
    • Nightmare Rain – Continuous attacks with elegant movements that will deal fire and ice elemental damage.
  • Ultimate: Starburst Stream – Launches a 16-combo attack, with the final hit dealing massive damage.

Asuna Skills in SAO: Fractured Daydream

  • Class: Fighter
  • Extra Skill: Leader’s Boost – Triggerable when the gauge is maxed out and will give the following effects:
    • Increases attack power
    • Reduces damage
    • Survive with 1 HP once when hit with an instant-death attack
  • Advance Skills:
    • Delta Attack – Continuous attacks that form a triangle, followed with a ranged shockwave attack.
    • Star Splash – Elegant continuous attacks with a focus on thrusting attacks.
    • Shining Thrust – A thrusting attack with light elemental damage that will hit multiple enemies on a straight line.
  • Ultimate: Flashing Penetrator – Covers her entire body with light while charging forward to deal massive damage on enemies at front.

Leafa Skills

  • Class: Support
  • Extra Skill: Speed Holic – Triggerable when the gauge is maxed out and will give the following effects:
    • Negates consumption of the flying gauge
    • Increases hover movement speed
  • Advance Skills:
    • Flying Gust – Flies up high while juggling enemies and dealing wind elemental damage, and then recovers a portion of the flying gauge and put her in a hovering state.
    • Fight Blade – A kendo-styled combo attack.
    • Heal Wind – Heals every party member’s HP while also giving them a temporary gradual healing effect.
  • Ultimate: Tyrant Hurricane – Spawns a gigantic hurricane at a specific location, which will pull in nearby enemies and deal wind elemental damage to them.

Sinon Skills

  • Class: Ranger
  • Extra Skill: Concentrate Position – Triggerable when at least a bullet icon has appeared. Sinon will assume a shooting position and spend a bullet to shoot with massive damage.
  • Advance Skills:
    • Tri Burst – Retreats backward while shooting at three forward directions simultaneously.
    • Disc Grenade – Throws a grenade that will explode and deal fire elemental damage upon contact.
    • Gravity Bullet – Causes a special explosion that will pull in nearby enemies while dealing dark elemental damage.
  • Ultimate: Blast Shot – Shoots a special bullet that will cause a chain of explosions with fire elemental damage along its path.

Bandai Namco will release Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC worldwide on October 4, 2024.
