The Pokemon Company has revealed numerous new merchandise modeled after Porygon that it will sell in Japan. One of them will be a life-sized plush based on the virtual Pokemon that has appeared since the inaugural titles Pokemon Red and Blue. Pre-orders for this plush are immediately available on the Japanese Pokemon Center Online store at 55,000 yen (~$391.30).
As with prior releases like Psyduck and Larvesta, this plush will stay true to Porygon’s height listed in the Pokedex, which is 0.8 m / 2’07”. The plush will also be 83 cm / 2’08” wide and 120 cm / 3’11” long. However, while the original Pokedex listed Porygon’s weight as 36.5 kg / 80.5 lbs, this plush will weigh much lighter at just 5.2 kg / 11.46 lbs.
Here are some of the sample images of the Porygon plush taken from various angles:
This plush will not be the only Porygon-related merchandise from The Pokemon Company. The latter has also revealed a new Night Arcade merchandise collection, which will appear at the Japanese Pokemon Center Online store on September 19, 2024, and physical outlets on September 21, 2024.
This collection will also feature fellow first-generation Pokemon Abra, Clefairy, and Dratini. However, Porygon will take the main spotlight here, as the company will exclusively release a neon LED light based on the Pokemon at 8,250 yen (~$58.75).
The Pokemon Company will start shipping the life-sized Porygon plush in mid-January 2025.
