New Metaphor: ReFantazio Mode Will Be Playable at TGS 2024

A new Metaphor: ReFantazio game mode will be playable at TGS 2024. ATLUS announced that attendees will have the opportunity to get their hands on a chunk of the game that was otherwise not available to the public. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

This mode is “Journey Mode,” and will allow for players to explore a small section of the map. However, exploration in Metaphor: ReFantazaio is a bit different than what fans of the Persona series, or other modern ATLUS titles, may expect.

Instead of navigating through a specific zone, Persona 5‘s Shibuya as an example, players will take to the skies in an airship and navigate through an illustrated map. For the sake of the demo, players will be able to select an area to travel to while inside of their airship. This demo will also provide a glimpse into how the time passing mechanic will function in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Those who choose to stop by and give the demo a whirl will receive a special Metaphor: ReFantazio bookmark and bag. Additionally, several stage events for Metaphor Re:Fantazio at TGS 2024 are planned and will feature key characters from the game such as Hulkenberg.

Metaphor: ReFantazio releases on October 11, 2024 for PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
