Tomohiko Sho, the producer of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors Origins, has shared a sneak peek of the game’s upcoming demo at Tokyo Game Show 2024. People who attend the event will be able to check out the new entry in the Dynasty Warriors series ahead of its release in 2025.
The producer made the reveals via a series of tweets on the Dynasty Warriors series’ official Japanese X account. In the first tweet, he confirmed that the demo stage will take place at the Battle of Sishui Gate. This stage was also one of the two battles featured in the ChinaJoy 2024 presentation.
The second tweet showed that players of the Dynasty Warriors Origins demo will be able to have the original protagonist equip a General Sword, Podao Scimitar, or Crescent Glaive as his weapon of choice. In prior Dynasty Warriors entries, these weapons are associated with Cao Cao, Xiahou Dun, and Guan Yu, respectively.
The third and last tweet revealed that players will be able to choose from Xiahou Dun, Guan Yu, or Sun Shangxiang as a companion officer. The player can also opt to go solo without any companion. This choice will determine the protagonist’s starting spot on the stage. Tomohiko Sho also teased that each route will have a different difficulty level.
Dynasty Warriors Origins will not be the only title to have a playable demo build at TGS 2024. Koei Tecmo has also confirmed that it will have another set of playable demos for Fairy Tail 2 at the event.
Dynasty Warriors Origins will be available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2025.
