After initially revealing the title in February 2022, the company explained its gameplay and storyline systems in July 2024. Aiming will stage a major battle every two weeks. The results of these battles will determine the story branch—or the ending for the fifth and final major battle in the season.

Aiming has uploaded the release date announcement trailer, which also doubles as an announcement for the opening of pre-registrations, on the game’s official YouTube channel.

The company has also published two music videos for each faction. The Reinhard-led Galactic Empire will have “light” as its theme song.

Meanwhile, the Free Planets Alliance fleet led by Yang Wenli will get the theme song “Time record.” The singer Ayaka Hirahara worked with Spirit Garden for the lyrics and Elements Garden for the arrangements of both songs.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue Saga will be available for Android and iOS mobile devices in Japan with its release date set for October 2, 2024. Aiming has also announced that the game will appear on PCs as well, although it has yet to confirm the latter’s launch window.
