The trailer showcases the game’s shoot-em-up, monster-fighting action alongside touted features like “at least 13.5 hours of gameplay” and “500,000 texture mapped garlic balls.” Every update released for other versions of the game, to date, will be available when it releases.

Originally released in 2021, Poncle, the game’s development studio, announced in April 2024 that the game would be coming to Playstation consoles. In 2023, the game made its way to the Nintendo Switch as well, leaving the PS4 and PS5 as the only consoles without Vampire Survivors, until now.

In the time since its release, Poncle won a BAFTA award for Best Game, alongside a British Academy Games Award for Game Design in 2023 for Vampire Survivors. In addition, the game continues to be updated, with the newest content in the game being a collaboration with historic shoot-em-up series Contra in the Operation Guns expansion. That launched in May 2024. It, and all other DLC, will appear alongside the PlayStation versions.

Vampire Survivors is available now on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, and the PS4 and PS5 release date is August 29, 2024.
