How to Find the Fursome Four in Cat Quest 3

The Fursome Four quest in Cat Quest 3 requires you to catch some legendary catfish for the Grumpy Fishercat in order to obtain a special weapon. Catching all the fish requires you to travel across the world to find various nets to coax the fish into.

To start this quest, you’ll need to head to the island in The Straits, just next to Port Purrvana. You’ll find the Grumpy Fishercat on the west side of the island, hounded by ships. Take them all out and he’ll offer you a treasure in exchange for a favor. He’ll then give you a short tutorial on how to catch catfish and tell you to find the four rarest.

How to Catch the Rock Catfish

The Rock Catfish is the easiest of the Fursome Four to find in Cat Quest 3. The west side of Purrvana Plains features a bay filled with spike hazards, and the Rock Catfish and a net are visible. Simply chase the catfish around the hazards and into the net to capture it.

How to Catch the Lover Catfish

The Lover Catfish is the second of the Fursome Four you can find in Cat Quest 3. It can be found on a unique island on the east side of the map, just south of Lovepurr Castle. You’ll find a group of ships here that need to be taken out. Once they’re gone, blast the barrier down to open the channel where the catfish is trapped. Unlike other catfish, this one will follow you, so steer it back to the net.

How to Catch the Sunset Catfish

The Sunset Catfish is the third member of the Fursome Four in Cat Quest 3. It can be found in the north-west portion of the map, tucked away in a maze of beaches. The Sunset Catfish is sitting in a lane just south of the net you need to guide it to you. The route there is straightforward, but guiding the fish there can be tricky as it’s determined to head in every direction you don’t want it to go.

How to Catch the Ghost Catfish

The Ghost Catfish is the final Fursome Four fish to find in Cat Quest 3. This one can be found on Furrgy Island in the south-west portion of the map, sitting in the middle of a spiral pattern. It can be tricky to guide it back to the net, however, as level 60 enemies will spawn constantly on the beach and throw projectiles at you. The float is advised here, as the smaller size and smaller turning circle make it easier to dodge these projectiles while keeping the fish on track.

Once you’ve obtained all four of the legendary catfish, return to the Grumpy Fishercat and he will reward you with The Son’s Rod, a powerful grenade launcher you can equip as a ranged weapon.

Cat Quest 3 is out now for PC, PS5, PS4, Switch, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
