How to Get the FFXIV Dawntrail Honeysuckler Minion

Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail patch 7.05 introduced a ton of new items and even minions for players to unlock. One such new minion is the FFXIV Dawntrail Honeysuckler minion. This adorable slithering little snake minion can be yours if you know exactly how to get it in the game.

How to Unlock the FFXIV Dawntrail Honeysuckler Minion

There are currently only two ways to get the Honeysuckler minion. The first method is the traditional method, which is through the Cenote Ja Ja Gural Treasure Hunt dungeon. If you aren’t familiar with these types of dungeons, this one is a recommended eight-player level 100 dungeon.

There are five rooms you have the chance of going through. There are various treasure chest rewards throughout. The Honeysuckler minion has a chance of being one of these rewards. It is all chance-based, though, so you have to keep that in mind.

The other way to get the Honeysuckler minion in FFXIV Dawntrail is through the Market Board. This is much easier and simpler since it is instantaneous. However, it can cost quite a bit due to how you obtain it. For instance, it is almost three million Gil to get this singular minion on my world due to the challenge of obtaining it.

How to Unlock Cenote Ja Ja Gural

If you prefer the old fashioned way of getting the Honeysuckler minion, you’ll need to spend some time in Cenote Ja Ja Gural. To do this, I suggest getting a full party of friends or using the Party Finder. Get yourself a Timeworn Br’aaxskin Map through either the Market Board or gathering. Decipher it, find its treasure location, and then dig there. You have a roughly 50% chance of spawning a portal to Cenote Ja Ja Gural this way. You also may have to run it a few times to find the minion.
