Capcom has published a new tweet that shows sprite updates for the police dog Missile in Ace Attorney Investigations Collection. People can check the dog’s sprites in classic pixel art and refined modern styles, both of which will be available to choose from in the upcoming compilation.
Missile is a K-9 police dog that first appeared in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, the series’ inaugural entry. Capcom later added the dog with a full-body sprite representation in both Ace Attorney Investigations entries that originally appeared on the Nintendo DS in 2009 and 2011.
Here is the official Japanese tweet showing an animated GIF of Missile’s sprites in Ace Attorney Investigations Collection:
The same account launched a new project to publish new sprite comparisons every day for a week starting from July 22, 2024. Missile is the third character that Capcom has featured on the list. The first two characters were Kay Faraday and Verity Gavelle. The latter is an Ace Attorney Investigations 2 debutant who is also known as Hakari Mikagami in the Japanese version and Justine Courtney in the game’s long-standing English fan-translation patch.
Ace Attorney Investigations Collection will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 6, 2024.
