Larian took to Steam to offer an update on the Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 closed beta ahead of it starting on July 22, 2024, and it went over changes to characters, the new split screen multiplayer option, Dark Urge adjustments, and evil endings. It also teased possible things to come like mod support, suggesting crossplay will be among the planned additions eventually as well.
Six Origin characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 will end up being fleshed out more or adjusted when Patch 7 launches. Asteron will be better at kissing, due to facial animation adjustments. Gale donations will be easier to manage, but Larian noted he will leave if you deny him an item three times in a row. Karlach bugs will be fixed, and she’ll also react to Dammon’s death properly. Lae’zel will wait longer for you to recruit her, and a game progression bug tied to her is fixed. Shadowheart “Daughter of Darkness,” Spear of Night, and kissing issues will be fixed. Wyll seems to be getting the most adjustments, with ones tied to his romance and epilogue also being fixed. Multiplayer party banter support will be added as well.
Larian also showed a gif highlighting how Baldur’s Gate 3 Split Screen Mode will work. This will be an option people can enable.
