Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream Includes Eiji and Yuna

At the Bandai Namco Summer Showcase during Anime Expo 2024, the Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream reveal involved a trailer showcasing SAO Ordinal Scale‘s Eiji Nochizawa and Yuna. They will appear as a Rogue and Support, respectively.

Editor’s Note: There will be some Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale spoilers in the SAO Fractured Daydream trailer for Eiji and Yuna.

Both Eiji and Yuna appeared in Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale and arc in the manga. The two characters are connected to each other in the story. Yoshio Inoue will reprise his role as the character. However Risae Matsuda will play Yuna instead of Sayaka Kanda, as Kanda died in December 2021. 

Here is the video, which highlights their gameplay footage. It begins by showing gameplay of Eiji in battle. At the 30 second mark. Yuna appears and starts to fight.  We then see the two of them together at the 50 second mark as they face a foe.

We’ll see Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream worldwide later this year. Bandai Namco recently revealed it will be out on October 4, 2024, and confirmed people who pre-order can get DLC to dress Kirito as a Demon King.

Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream debuts on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam on October 4, 2024.
