The fan gathering was announced through The Lodestone and shared on social media. The event, which is designed to celebrate the launch of the Dawntrail expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, will take place in London, UK on June 24, 2024. The activites are set to take place in the Big Chill event space in King’s Cross. It will feature food and themed drinks, a raffle, a temporary tattoo station and other unspecified activities.

However, it only took an hour for the event’s 150 slots to fill up, even with a two-per-customer limit. Square Enix confirmed all slots had been taken in a reply to the original social media post. A similar fan gathering event in Germany in May 2024 also filled up quickly. While Yoshi-P attended the event in Germany, it’s not clear if he will make an appearance at the UK event.

The latest Final Fantasy XIV expansion, Dawntrail, is set for release on July 2, 2024. An early access release will also take place on June 28, 2024. To get players ready for the release, Square Enix recently shared a story trailer showing off cinematics and gameplay. It also included a look at the new Pictomancer job.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for PS4, PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. The Dawntrail expansion will launch on July 2, 2024.
