Should You Side With Lilim in SMT V?

Most players will likely run into Lilim first in the Those Seeking Sanctuary side quest in Shinagawa due to her location. When you speak with this group of Lilim, they tell you about Principality. This angel is stopping them from going further into the world and getting closer to humans.

Lilim asks you to eliminate Principality so they can survive. This is ultimately down to personal preference, but siding with Lilim is on the side of chaos for your alignment. In addition, you get Lilim as your companion to join your party without having to fuse. But you have to defeat Principality to do so.

On the other hand, if you speak with Principality in SMT V Vengeance, you will learn a different side. The angel is stopping the deceptive Lilim group from seducing humans, but he is pretty cruel about his guard status. If you side with him, you will be on the side of order and receive Principality as a reward.

I do think this comes down to personal preference. However, I prefer the Lilim side. She is at a higher level and much more powerful, plus she does a good job in the next couple of boss fights. That said, it is up to you. Not to mention, you can fuse both of these demons no matter what.

Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance is now available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
