Viz Media announced on social media that it picked up One Piece: Heroines, the novel with short stories based on different characters from the series, and will release it in English. It currently has a Spring 2025 release window.
The One Piece: Heroines series is a unique situation in which Jun Esaka’s stories about characters from the series all star the women who are associated with the Straw Hat Pirates. They’re pulled from One Piece magazine, though every entry also has a piece exclusive to each book as well. So the first book goes over a number of episodes starring Nami, Perona, Robin, and Vivi.
Here’s the official reveal, which includes the Japanese cover art. That first volume appeared in Japan in June 2021.
As of right now, Viz Media seems to have only confirmed it will release the first volume in this series in English. In Japan, a second installment appeared in March 2024. As noted by the cover of the second book, Uta stars in one of its stories.
One Piece: Heroines will release outside Japan in Spring 2025. Viz Media handles the One Piece manga releases outside of Japan. The anime is on Crunchyroll. The live-action series and upcoming anime remake are on Netflix.
