There’s another Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition delay, though this one only applies to the PS5 copies heading to North America. They won’t launch in May 2024 as planned, and Larian Studios noted on social media that people won’t get them until July 2024.
Larian Studios offered a detailed explanation for the Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition PS5 delay. This time, it is due to the disc manufacturing process taking longer in that region. The expected process is estimated to take 24 days total, though the company said it is trying to see if it would be possible to hire more people to help speed up the process. It also noted it can not offer digital copies as a substitute.
Here is the official announcement and apology. The ensuing updates also confirmed the PS5 Deluxe Edition copies in Europe and Australia already shipped, with people in those regions getting codes emailed to them with their digital bonuses.
Said update also noted the Xbox Series X versions of the Deluxe Edition are shipping out worldwide as planned. Those were also part of the initial delay that pushed shipments back into May 2024.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The Xbox Series X physical Deluxe Edition copies are shipping, as are PS5 copies in Europe and Oceania. The PC ones already shipped.
