After concluding the Version 2.2 Trailblaze Mission in Honkai: Star Rail, you will be able to access the Echo of War: Salutations of Ashen Dreams. This weekly boss allows players to challenge “Harmonious Choir,” The Great Septimus, once again.
Clearing this boss will get you multiple rewards. You have a chance of getting a random 4-star Light Cone, such as It’s Showtime and Flames Afar, as well as a Watchmaker or Grand Duke Relic. However, the main drop is Lost Echo of the Shared Wish. This is an advanced Trace material that characters debuting after 2.2 will probably take. As of the time of writing, HoYoVerse has only confirmed Boothill as someone who needs Lost Echo of the Shared Wish.
Where to Find Echo of War: Salutations of Ashen Dreams in Honkai: Star Rail
Just like in the Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.2 story, you can find Echo of War: Salutations of Ashen Dreams at the very northern end of the Penacony Grand Theater in Penacony. Again, you will need to first clear the Version 2.2 story in order to access it. Once you finish the Trailblaze Mission, you’ll be able to teleport onto this map and then manually go up to the Echo of War. After that, you’ll unlock it as a teleport point.
How to Defeat “Harmonious Choir” The Great Septimus in HSR
“Harmonious Choir” The Great Septimus introduces two mechanics to the game: multiple Toughness bars and shared HP. He always has four Echo of Faded Dreams enemies with him, and since they all share an HP bar, you can’t get rid of them beforehand. You can break them, though, and you can do so to prevent them from attacking you.
The first two phases are pretty similar and straightforward. You can Break The Great Septimus’s Toughness to obtain a shield for your party (separate from your shielder’s, if you brought one). This shield can protect you against more powerful attacks like Tempestoso or Volteggiando. The Great Septimus can also put your party members to sleep, though a high enough Effect RES can repel it. Asleep party members restore HP but can’t do anything. They wake up when an enemy attacks them and take greater DMG from this hit.
After Breaking the first two HP bars for The Great Septimus, he transforms into Embryo of Philosophy. In this state, he’s weak to all Types. You have seven turns to Break his Toughness and get a shield to protect yourself from Im Anfang war die Tat. Im Anfang war die Tat is a very powerful attack that ignores DEF, and can easily wipe out a party.
Best Teams to Defeat Echo of War: Salutations of Ashen Dreams
While Embryo of Philosophy is weak to all Types, The Great Septimus is not. He’s weak to Fire, Lightning, and Imaginary. So you should focus on characters of those Types, as well as characters with high Break Effect or some way to quickly whittle down toughness, for this Echo of War. Here are some suggestions:
