Following an ESRB leak, Nintendo officially announced Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition for the Nintendo Switch. It will be available physically and digitally on on July 18, 2024, with the deluxe physical edition including a gold replica NES cartridge.
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition involves 13 NES games on the Switch. Challenges from them can be played alone or with up to eight people. There is also an online World Championships Mode with weekly leaderboards and challenges. In total, there are 150 speedruns pulled from the included games.

- Balloon Fight
- Donkey Kong
- Excitebike
- Ice Climber
- Kid Icarus
- Kirby’s Adventure
- Metroid
- Super Mario Bros.
- Super Mario Bros. 2
- Super Mario Bros. 3
- Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels
- The Legend of Zelda
- Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

While a digital copy will be $29.99, the physical Deluxe one will involve a number of other bonus items for $59.99. People get a copy of the game on a cartridge. They will also get five pins like the ones seen in the game and 13 art cards tied to each NES game.
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition will come to the Nintendo Switch on July 18, 2024.
