Yu-Gi-Oh Winged Dragon of Ra Plastic Model Will Be on Display

Bandai Spirits will display a plastic model of the Winged Dragon of Ra from Yu-Gi-Oh at the 62nd Shizuoka Hobby Show. The event will run from May 8 to 12, 2024, at the Twin Messe in Shizuoka, and there will be no entry fee. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

The plastic model is part of the Figure-rise Standard Amplified series and will be available for purchase sometime in the future. You’ll be able to check out the completed version, albeit without paint, at the exhibition. It seems from the picture that Ra looks like it’s flying, as it’s leaning forward a lot more than on its card art or other figures of it. Once you get your own version of the model, whenever Bandai Spirits starts to sell it, you’ll be able to pose it however you want.

The Winged Dragon of Ra is one of the three Egyptian God cards from the original Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters series. Like the other God cards, its ATK and DEF depend on certain conditions. In the Winged Dragon of Ra’s case, it depends on how much LP you pay it. The Winged Dragon of Ra is more prominent as a monster from the show, though Marik, the antagonist of the Battle City arc, used it against the main characters.

The Winged Dragon of Ra plastic model from Yu-Gi-Oh will be on display, and the consumer version will be released in the future.
