How to Get a Sparklestone for Squash in Eiyuden Chronicle

Some Eiyuden Chronicle characters need a specific item before they will join you, and Squash wants a Sparklestone. The potential shopkeeper only mentions Phantombirds can have them, so here’s where to go to get one.

Where do I find a Sparklestone for Squash in Eiyuden Chronicle?

Squash appears in The Treefolk Village once you gain access to Euchrisse in Eiyuden Chronicle. Walk or fast travel there. He’ll be right next to the trading post on the second floor of the town. When you speak to him, he’ll bring up his desire for a Sparklestone. He’ll also note Phantombirds can be found in forests.

You won’t be heading to the forest around The Treefolk Village, though. Head back to the Dappled Forest to get the Sparklestone in Eiyuden Chronicle. Because of unlocking access to the new area, you’ll gain access to a new part of the map. I’ve circled the areas in which the Phantombirds appear and included a screenshot of what they look like.

Basically, you need to fight birds until you get the Sparklestone as a drop. Once you do, head back to Squash. Give him the item and he’ll join you.

Is Squash good in Eiyuden Chronicle?

Squash only exists as a shopkeeper in the game. Once he moves in, you can use the Drafting Studio to create an Accessory Shop. That costs 1,600 Headquarters Funds. It also adds +10 to your population.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
