How to Find Leon in Eiyuden Chronicle

Sometimes, the way to find new Eiyuden Chronicle allies is as easy as walking around your castle town after certain upgrades or events, and that’s how Leon ends up in your party. You just need to go somewhere you might not otherwise visit.

Where is Leon in Eiyuden Chronicle?

In my case, I ended up getting the chance to recruit Leon once I’d advanced the main story to the point at which I’d reunited with old friends at Hishahn and raised the castle town’s level to two. So if you already finished the Proving Ground and leveled up your base as well, odds are you’ll be able to encounter him too. However, there’s an easy way to check.

The trick is to leave your castle town when you’re at home by the western gate, rather than the southern one. I marked the exact spot on the map below. If you take that way and you meet the criteria, you’ll see Leon lying on the ground.

Talking to him is all it takes to add him to your party.

Is Leon good in Eiyuden Chronicle?

Leon both is and isn’t good. He joins at level 20 and has some great skills. However, his physical defense stat is trash and he’s a short-range character, so you’d need to keep him in the front row.

However, if you stick an accessory on him to bolster his defense, he’s a great ally. His magical damage is great, and I love being able to use Fire God’s Sword to increase an ally’s attack or Flame Wall to damage a row of enemies.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
